Brass Heat-serts

Use these instead of nuts….not all the time, but often they provide a nice elegant thread solution.

The M2.5 heatsert is used in most of the downloadable adaptor mount designs.

If you are downloading and printing files from the github repository to print and assemble your own installation you may need some of these, otherwise they are handy to have around. Please note if buying full kits, these will be included as part of the fastener package.

Options: M2.5 or M3 thread

To use: press halfway by hand into suitably sized hole (4.5mm) and then use tip of solder iron to push in rest of way.

Tip: Let the heat do the work. Do not force the heatsert into the part, but allow the heat to let it move into position slowly.
